4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club will host Army Mess Tennis Club from Accra in a special farewell tournament for Brig. Gen. Joseph Adu Boampong. Brig. Gen. Joseph Adu Boampong, was the immediate past General Officer Commanding the Central Command. The tournament scheduled for August 20 at the 4 Garrison officers Mess Tennis Club in Kumasi.
The tournament is expected to attract lots of people including, chiefs, senior officers and staff of the Ghana Arm Forces, Ashanti Regional Minister and others. The Special Guest of honor is his Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, The Asantehene.
The 4 Garrison Club will feature the likes of , ACP Adusah Poku, Capt. G.G. Klu Amereka, and Brig. Gen. Joseph Adu Boampong. The rest are Salifu Seidu Abebe, Dr. Kojo Ansah, Dr. Alexis Nane Beifuba, , Dr. Abraham Adjei Oppong, The Ladies include Dzifa Ahorlu, Lydia Maysel Oduro, Paulina Asemiteng, Charllotte Nyamekye, Mrs Peggy Oppong Bawuah and Twin sisters, Bridgette Suntinga and Brenda Suntinga.
The Army Mess Tennis Club will parade crack players such as Brig. Gen. Albert Adu, Col. Johnny Freeman, Col. Sali Yakubu, Col. Ben Gah, Col. Oduro Kwarteng, Lt.Col. Akotoh, Lt. Col K.K. Afrifa, Justice Edward Asante, Justice Anthony Oppong and the Ladies include Frana Abaya-Wuni, Afeafa Buta Buama, Edem Buta Buama, Nicholitta Atiogbe and Hon. Barbara ASamoah.
According to the President of the Club, Mr. Samuel Ampadu-Kyei, Brig. Gen. Joseph Adu Boampong is a staunch tennis player of the club and the institution of the tournament is in recognition of his enormous support for the club.
Ampadu-Kyei urged tennis fans and the general public to troop to 4 Garrison Club court on Saturday to witness a thrilling event.
